BECOME A 2024 NBBC VOLUNTEER
Your contribution as a Volunteer is greatly appreciated and essential to making the National Black Business Conference (NBBC) a resounding success.
As a Volunteer, your commitment, time, and talents as a service to the NBBC is a great benefit. Your prompt and reliable service is essential to ensuring a successful event. It is very important to remember that everything you do or say directly reflects on the organization.
We anticipate that you will always be polite, courteous, tactful, and considerate. Helping our guests have a wonderful time and completing all tasks assigned comes naturally to our team. We know that you will help us maintain these standards.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Must always be courteous and professional.
- Must wear black business or cocktail attire (white shirt and black slacks where applicable).
- Must wear comfortable shoes.
- Must arrive at assigned time.
- Must attend the one-time training session scheduled for Monday, August 21st, 2023, at 6:00 PM at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Meet at designated location at report time or before.
- If necessary, you may bring a cell phone, with the volume muted and refrain from using it while volunteering.
- It is suggested not to bring more than you can carry in a sling purse/bag. There will be a secure area for personal belongings.
- If you need to leave your assignment, notify one of the team leaders.
- Parking information will be provided in advance.
- Each volunteer will be assigned an area. Some volunteers will be asked to work more than one station and others will be designated as floaters.
- Assignments provided in advance by team leaders may change on site.
- If not able to fulfil an assignment, contact one of the team leaders.
- Report anything that looks unsafe or may need attention.
